Magnus Löfgren born in Sweden, is educated at the university of

Design and Crafts in Gothenburg.

 

Since 1985 he is running his own design studio in Stockholm.

 

During the recent years he has been working with companies

in the interior field, and is also engaged in educational work.

 

Magnus is one of the creators of the Swedish company Design

House Stockholm, and is the designer of the early successes

like the Focus vase, and the Candleshell, which is also sold by

MOMA, and the National Museum of Arts in Stockholm.

 

Over the years Magnus has received several awards in the

Design field, for example the Design Plus Prize in Frankfurt.

 

His designs are characterized by simplicity and creativity,

and he is a disciple of the humanistic nordic design tradition

formed by designers and architects like Arne Jacobsen,

Kaj Frank and Alvar Aalto.
